UK Restaurant Chain Zizzi To Enter Irish Market

One of the UK's most popular restaurant chains, Zizzi, will enter the Irish market next month with the opening of a new eatery in the Pembroke District of Dundrum Town Centre.

The Irish Independent reports that the 2,800 sq ft restaurant will accommodate 90 internal covers, and a further 16 in an outdoor seating area, while it is expected to create 35 hospitality jobs.

Zizzi, established in 1999, can boast 143 restaurants across the UK, with the company revealing that every new Zizzi restaurant is 'designed by a collective of up and coming artists who help to create a unique atmosphere and dining experience for that location'.

"As Zizzi continues to perform very well and expand across the UK, entry into the Irish market seemed like a natural progression for us," said Steve Holmes, CEO of Zizzi parent the Azzurri Group,

"Dundrum Town Centre is a fantastic location and we are excited to bring the Zizzi offering to Irish customers. Zizzi is also hopeful that with continued investment in Ireland, we'd be aiming to see 15 new Zizzi restaurants open here within the next five years, so it really is an exciting time for us," he added.
