Antrim's Tullyglass House Hotel has applied for planning permission which will see it converted into a luxury spa retreat as part of a reported £5 million redevelopment.
The 33-bedroom hotel, which dates back to the 1890s, has applied for the construction of a four-storey annexe which will comprise of bedrooms on the upper three floors, a spa, tea and coffee lounge, juice bar, gymnasium and with the ground floor to have a new hotel reception area as well as hair and beauty facilities, reports Thecaterer.com.
Tullyglass House Hotel, which was bought by Kathleen and Chris McConville 1993, previously underwent an initial investment in 1995 of around £4.5 million, had £5 million worth of work done in 2005 to add a new conference and banqueting facility which can host more than 1800 guests, as well as an additional £2 million investment in 2015 for buying land and buildings around the hotel.
