Irish digital food ordering solution Flipdish has announced the launch of StraightFrom.com, which assists customers to discover local food businesses in their area and order directly from StraightFrom.com.

It is open to all restaurants and takeaways free of charge whether they are a Flipdish customer or not, and it will act as an alternative to food marketplaces.

Flipdish CEO and co-founder Conor McCarthy stated, "We're delighted to be launching this campaign today and I would encourage people to support their local food businesses. The hospitality industry in Ireland has been badly affected by the COVID pandemic since March 2020 and at Flipdish, we want to help support it whenever and wherever possible. We're proud to work with businesses across the country in making sure they are directly connected to customers."
McCarthy added, "This is why we are backing StraightFrom.com. We want to ensure that customers are aware of all the local food businesses in their area that they can order from. We believe this free platform will help those businesses who want to steer away from the high fees attached to listing their businesses on aggregator websites and connect directly with customers."
