Deliveroo has announced the launch of a new feature called "Table Service", which allows customers to browse the menu, order and pay at a restaurant via the Deliveroo app without coming into contact with restaurant staff.
The aim of the feature is to make it easier for customers to dine in restaurants while maintaining social distancing and for restaurant staff to work safely.
"Table Service" is available to restaurants, pubs, and cafés in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway. Over time, Deliveroo intends to make the feature available to restaurants in other parts of the country.

Deliveroo CEO Will Shu stated, "Deliveroo wants to play a significant role in helping restaurants adopt tech-led solutions to reopen safely, especially smaller partners who otherwise would be unable to develop the technology and face huge financial burdens due to COVID-19."
