A detour to Port leads to one of the most remote and wildest areas of Ireland. Here the coastline reveals amazing shaped rocks, formed by the wild Atlantic that keeps pounding against the shore. Close to the small harbour there are the remains of a “ghost town” – a small settlement, which has been abandoned by its inhabitants during the great famine.
