Three well-known food franchises are expanding their presence in Dublin this summer, with Supermac's, Scrumdiddly's and Freshii all opening new outlets in the city's suburbs.
This month saw fast food chain Supermac's open a new restaurant in Coolock, which, according to dublinlive.ie, brought with it employment opportunities for 26 people. The outlet also includes a Papa John's Pizza and a SuperSubs.
Popular ice-cream parlour Scrumdiddly's will be opening a brand new branch in Malahide the weekend of July 29 as part of a partnership with food store Donnybrook Fair, which will see the former firm establishing a permanent frozen dessert facility within the walls of the latter's outlet in the north Dublin seaside town.
And finally, following news of its recent opening of branches at Applegreen garages in Portlaoise and Lusk, health food chain Freshii has announced plans to open a new premises in Smithfield Square. While an exact opening date has yet to be divulged, banners bearing the Freshii logo are already adorning the windows of the building next-door to Fitness Ireland.
