Irish fast food chain Supermac's is hoping to open its first restaurant in Co. Donegal later this year after a potential franchisee lodged a planning application with Donegal County Council.
It is reported that the proposed outlet is set to be part of a major new development at Drumlonagher in Donegal Town.
Supermac's has confirmed that a planning application has been lodged by a potential franchisee and that the process is still a live one with further information being requested by the planning department, with a decision likely in the coming week.
Donegalnow.com reports that the proposed restaurant will feature two storeys of interior space as well as a drive through facility, with the premises also encompassing a 950 square metre filling station, retail shop, bicycle stand, set down area for buses and 71 parking spaces.
