Supermac's founder Pat McDonagh has published a notice of intent to submit new plans for a drive-through restaurant adjacent to the M18 at Skehanagh outside of Ennis, Co. Clare.
According to The Irish Independent, the €10 million development would also include a service station, convenience store, children's play area and 16 charging points for electric cars.
If the proposal is approved, Supermac's plans to generate employment for 100 people during the operation phase and as many as 80 jobs during the construction phase of the development.
