The group that operates the Eddie Rocket's and Rocket's restaurant chains, Rocket Restaurants, has held discussions with potential partners to expand in Germany.
As reported by The Irish Times, the group opened its first German outlet at a Center Parcs resort last October in partnership with German group Areas.
Its second German outlet with Areas is due to open at a Leipzig train station this November.
Commercial Shopping Areas
Rocket Restaurants has an agreement with Areas to open 16 outlets in Germany, which will be largely located in transport centres, and the group's managing director, Adrian Crean, has stated that it is currently looking for a second partner in Germany with which it can open outlets in German commercial shopping areas.
The Irish Times quotes Crean as saying, "We have held discussions with potential high-street franchise partners in Germany."
