Plans for the development of a café/restaurant at the site of the former Rochestown train and tram station and surviving platform in Co. Cork are reportedly being progressed by architects for a private investor/developer.
Details
According to The Irish Examiner, well-placed sources have indicated that the café/restaurant plans are to work with the existing Victorian brick-faced rail building and platform, and also involve an extension along the platform in a contemporary take on the original rail vernacular.
Experienced Operator
An experienced operator with links to restaurants in counties Cork and Kerry who operates a number of successful and expanding premises has reportedly been provisionally identified for the proposed Rochestown venue.
