Permission Sought To Transform Former Belfast Bank Into Two Eateries

Ian Lowry of Lowry Building and Civil Engineering is seeking permission from Belfast City Council to transform the former Ulster Bank building on Belfast's Boucher Road into two eateries with takeaway facilities.

Lowry's proposed redevelopment of the premises includes the addition of a glass extension.

Omagh-based firm Arch-Aid Design has been tasked with handling the building's redesign.

Transforming "The Building's Previous Banking Identity"

According to The Belfast Telegraph, Arch-Aid Design said in a statement that when coming up with a new look for the building, "It was extremely important that the external facade associated with the building's previous banking identity was completely redesigned and modernised."
