Ireland's only two-star Michelin holder Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud has been named as the best restaurant in the country at the Irish Restaurant Awards.
Previous winner Mickael Viljanen once again picked up the best chef gong, recognised for his cooking at The Greenhouse near St. Stephen's Green, Dublin.
The regional winners were Campagne in Kilkenny for Leinster (see review here), 1826 Adare for Munster, Kai Café & Restaurant in Galway for Munster and Ox in Belfast (which also won best wine experience) for Ulster.
Adare in Limerick was twice recognised for its high standards of food, with The Oakroom Restaurant at Adare Manor Hotel picking up the best hotel restaurant.
The 2015 Irish Restaurant Awards, in association with the Irish Times, received over 30,000 nominations over the various categories, according to he RAI president Anthony Gray.
The winners were determined by a mystery guest visit (55 per cent of the total score) a national awards academy (35 per cent) and ten per cent for judging the menu in each category.
