Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud (pictured) in Dublin has been ranked Ireland's top restaurant in La Liste's 1000 best restaurants in the world for 2018.
Based on the compilation of hundreds of guidebooks and millions of online reviews, including Michelin and Tripadvisor, La Liste offers the best global restaurant selection handpicked by top food critics and expert guides, with each restaurant scored in a ranking out of 100.
The Guy Savoy restaurant in Paris from chef Guy Savoy is the topped ranked in the world thanks to a score of 99.75, followed by La Bernardin in New York and Kyubey in Tokyo in joint second place on 99.50, while Alain Ducasse au Plaza Athénée, Eleven Madison Park and Restaurant de l'Hotel de Ville finished joint third with a score of 99.25.
The two-star Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud finished further down the list on a score of 94.50, which made it Ireland's top ranked eatery, followed by The Greenhouse (90.75), Lady Helen at Mount Juliet (88), The Cliff House Hotel (86) and Chapter One (85.50).
In all, nine Irish restaurants made it on La Liste's ranking for 2018, and here they are:
