The owners of Northern Irish café business Synge & Byrne are hoping to open the business's first Republic of Ireland branch by the second quarter of this year.
The company is currently searching for a location for its first Republic branch and is targeting regional and commuter towns.
"Where The Growth Is"
The Belfast Telegraph quotes Synge & Byrne director and co-owner Adrian Garvey as saying that he believes that the Republic of Ireland is "where the growth is for the future".
Synge & Byrne currently operates seven outlets in Northern Ireland. The cities and towns in which it has cafés include Belfast, Derry, Newry and Dungannon.
