Mexican restaurant El Grito has announced the opening of a new restaurant in Rathmines, Dublin. The original El Grito restaurant opened in Mountjoy Square in 2014, and has picked up a loyal following.
El Grito takes pride in serving street food from Guanajuato, Mexico.
Street Food
The menu includes tacos that are priced from €2.50 and burrito wraps that are priced from €9.99. Other options include Chimichanga, Alambre, and Nachos.
The drinks menu includes beer, wine and cocktails. There is also a 'Super Mexican' cocktail which includes red wine, beer, energy drink and grenadine.
Expansion Plans
"Our food is really handmade, all the recipes and everthing we do in the restaurant, is a collaboration of my wife and her mum," said Tomas Olesky, the owner of El Grito, when speaking to Hospitality Ireland.
"All the recipes are homemade along with the food."
Olesky said El Grito plans to open other restaurants in Dublin, while also getting its salsa sauce onto the shelves of Irish retailers.
'City Centre'
"At the moment, I am in negotiations to open another place in the city centre," said Olesky.
"Hopefully, this week, we will sign a new contract and within a few weeks, we are going to open another place."
"We also plan another venture in Rathmines apart from the restaurant, but it's still going to be something very Mexican."
