Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver's international restaurant business and franchise partner Gerry Fitzpatrick will be opening a new 100-seater restaurant called Chequer Lane by Jamie Oliver on Dublin's Exchequer Street in April of this year.
The new eatery's menu items will include fresh rock oysters from Carlingford Bay, beef cooked using a robata grill, monkfish scampi and wild garlic chicken Kiev as well as a selection of seasonal dishes that will change frequently throughout the year.
Chequer Lane will also serve a selection of cocktails, exclusive wines, and locally-brewed beers and ciders, and, at weekends, will offer menus that feature a selection of brunch dishes and roast dinners.
"Comfort Food"
Oliver stated, "Chequer Lane will celebrate some of my favourite comfort food, and the menu will be packed with big, hearty flavours and simple, seasonal ingredients. The food I really love to cook and diners love to eat. Ireland has some of the greatest produce in the world and we can't wait to show it off."
"A Fantastic Addition To Dublin's Bustling Restaurant Scene"
Meanwhile, Fitzpatrick commented, "Chequer Lane will be a fantastic addition to Dublin's bustling restaurant scene. Diners can expect the very best of delicious and affordable Irish food and drink in a welcoming environment in the heart of Dublin City. We're excited to be working with some of the finest local food producers and, as always, having a great team is at the heart of everything we do, so we're looking for bright, ambitious people to join us for this exciting new venture."
