McDonalds has opened its 90th restaurant, a drive-thru at East Wall Road in Dublin, which will create 60 new jobs as part of a €1.7 million development, reports Newstalk.com.
The latest opening will bring the fast-food chain's total employee numbers in Ireland to 5,000 and comprises of seating for 170 customers over two floors, self-service kiosks, entertainment via Samsung Galaxy tablets and a children's play area according to DublinLive.ie.
Site requirements for McDonald's openings include having a main arterial route, being located close to shopping centres or retail parks, co-location opportunities with petrol filling stations and ideally should have over 0.5 acres.
Discussing the new opening, Amir Afsar, McDonald's owner operator said: "We're very proud to create 60 new jobs in the East Wall community with the opening of this new restaurant, which has a strong family focus at its heart."
McDonald’s director of operations, Jimmy Edwards added: "We've listened to what customers want and we're confident that elements we've introduced in the East Wall Road restaurant will be warmly received by the public."
