McDonald's has applied for planning permission to replace the McCafé area at its outlet on Grafton Street with new communal seating and tablet tables.
The Irish Times reports that the fast food giant intends to give the restaurant a €1.3 million "digital makeover" which will create an additional 30 seats, with McCafé products still being available at the tills.

In a statement to The Irish Times, McDonald's said, "We are excited about plans for a new experience of the future makeover at McDonald's Grafton Street restaurant."
