Le Pain Quotidien in Kildare Village has been awarded the Just Ask Restaurant of the Month for November by Bord Bia.
The restaurant, which was founded by Alain Coumont, serves its food at a communal table and uses recycled wooden furniture and tiled walls and floors, reports FFT.ie.
The Just Ask campaign, which was established in 2009, encourages diners to look for information on menus about where the food on their plate comes from with the aim of promoting engagement and transparency in the farm to fork process. Previous winners of the award include Le Petit Pois Restaurant & Wine Bar in Galway, Limerick's 1826 Adare and The Washerwoman Restaurant in Glasnevin.
