New accounts lodged by Banner Dell Ltd have revealed that KFC's operation in Ireland and the UK recorded pre-tax profits of £34.26 million (€39.25 million) last year, representing a rise of more than eight-fold on the figure for the previous year.
According to The Irish Independent, the company's revenues rose 21% to £163.7 million during the 55 weeks ending on December 24, 2017, with operating profits increasing 10% to €8.5 million.

Meanwhile, The Belfast Telegraph reports that KFC is investing £2 million in the construction of a new drive-through restaurant in Glengormley, Co. Antrim, as well as investing £3 million in home delivery services across all of its Northern Irish venues.
