Owners of the Wicklow-based Happy Pear café/grocery chain, Dave and Stephen Flynn, have revealed that they intend to open another outlet in Dublin before the end of 2017.
Speaking at the opening of their latest restaurant in the Round Tower Visitor Centre, Clondalkin, this week, the brothers told Dublin Live that they're "only getting started" when it comes to expanding their company. After revealing that they borrowed €1.5 million to invest in their business, they stated that they'll be opening a few more cafés in the near future.
The Happy Pear chain started out as a small vegetable shop in Greystones back in 2004 and now encompasses three cafés, a shop, a farm and a roastary. The new Clondalkin branch employs 30 people and will be open from 8am-8pm daily for the duration of the summer.
