Kai Café & Restaurant and Loam in Galway city have been named on the shortlist for the most sustainable food service business 2017.
The popular Galway eateries have been included in the Sustainable Restaurant Association's 'Food Made Good Top 20 2017', and are now vying with 18 other restaurants from Denmark, France, the United States and the UK to be crowned 'Food Made Good Business of the Year 2017'.
The award will be presented to the restaurant or food service business that has received the highest Food Made Good rating from the SRA in the last year, at the Food Made Good Awards, on 5 October, reports advertiser.ie.
Jess Murphy's Kai and Enda McEvoy's Michelin-starred Loam are named in the Top 20 alongside Relæ in Copenhagen, also Michelin starred, Bæst and Mirabelle, Copenhagen, The Bay Fish & Chips, in Stonehaven, The Wheatsheaf at Chilton Foliat, Gourmet Goat from Borough Market, FoodOnCampus at the University of Manchester as well as Cookery School at Little Portland Street and London workplace caterer Vacherin.
