Fallon & Byrne is to open a new store in the refurbished Rathmines Swan Shopping Centre by early 2017.
will be the third opening from the food emporium, which has locations on Dublin's Exchequer Street and in Dun Laoghaire's People's Park, and will consist of a food hall, delicatessen, outdoor terrace and casual eatery.
The 173,000 square foot shopping centre was refurbished at a cost of €2 million which saw the addition of modern store facades, ceramic tiling throughout and upgrades to its underground car park, reports the Irish Times.
The new 10,000 square foot Fallon & Byrne store will be joined by 15 new traders in the centre in what has been described as being "the most dominant shopping and leisure destination in the Dublin 4 and 6 areas" by the Swan's owners.
Fiona McHugh, managing director of Fallon & Byrne described the new premises as being an elegant, contemporary extension to Castlewood Road and will have "a beautiful food hall to match". Paul Anderson, the managing director of Sawbridge, owners of the Swan, added that the shopping centre will become "the primary retail destination within Dublin 6".
