A new restaurant called Wishbone has opened on Montague Street in Dublin 2 and will be specialising solely in chicken wings.
The premises, which is located off Camden Street, was previously home to the infamous Porndog restaurant and is being run by Jamie Kenny of Cobalt Cafe and James Stimpson, reports the Dailyedge.ie. Menu options include classic buffalo wings, salted toffee apple and spiced orange flavours, as well as a ferrero rocher cheesecake and cocktails.
The Bowery, a nautical-themed bar, has opened on Lower Rathmines in Dublin. The bar's design has used port holes from an Irish naval auxiliary ship, floorboards from Boland's Mill in Ringsend and wood panelling from the Little Sisters of the Poor convent, according to Lovindublin.com. The pub is serving rum that has been aged in Woodford Reserve barrels as well as a variety of rum-based cocktails.
Award-winning Michie Sushi has opened a new restaurant in Dublin's IFSC, adding to its current locations in Sandyford, Dun Laoghaire and Ranelagh. The new two-storey restaurant is located at George's Dock, with the ground floor acting as a 'Grab n Go' offering, reports Lovindublin.com. To go along with its regular sushi offerings, there will be breakfast options available too such as Japanese-style filled pancakes and sweet tofu omelettes.
The Bottle Tower in Churchtown, Dublin, has reopened after being closed for refurbishment since November 2015. The new design has maintained the classic vintage bar on the first floor, and will be serving craft beer from the likes of Porterhouse and Brewdog, signature cocktails, 'BT Gin Creations', as well as 'top shelf' vodka's and whiskey's to go with an extensive food menu.
