A four-storey property on 19 Wicklow Street in Dublin, home to popular vegetarian restaurant Cornucopia, has been sold for around €2 million after attracting strong interest.
It was acquired by a private Dublin investor, who outbid seven other interested parties, paying €100,000 above the property's guide price, reports the Irish Times. Located less than 130 metres from Grafton Street and experiencing high volumes of footfall, the property was seen as an excellent long-term investment opportunity, helped due to its established tenants such as Cornucopia who have traded there for the past 30 years, said Christopher Belton of Lisney.
The building extends to approximately 289 square metres and has a current passing rent of €103,100 per annum which is expected to increase to €120,000/€130,000 this month, with Cornucopia currently paying a rent of €80,000 for ground, basement and office usage on the second floor.
