Dublin’s newest multi-storey social destination, Old Fashioned Sam’s, has officially unveiled Laura’s, its new top-floor restaurant.
The new restaurant is the latest addition to Old Fashioned Sam’s on Montague Street, which quietly just opened in the lead-up to Christmas
In addition to Laura’s rooftop restaurant, guests can enjoy a ground-floor cocktail bar that opens into Dublin city centre’s largest heated courtyard (complete with a fully retractable roof for summer), a café-style front bar catering to the local lunchtime crowd, and Sam’s Parlour—an intimate basement cocktail bar exuding a glamorous 1920s speakeasy aesthetic.
Chris, Brendan, and Liam Kelly, the three brothers behind the Chris Kelly Group, are known for their portfolio of award-winning bars, restaurants, and hotels across Ireland.
“Opening Old Fashioned Sam’s in the run-up to Christmas was no small feat, especially given that this space was recently a car park and an office!” said Liam Kelly.
“To see it now, transformed into this elegant and vibrant space, is incredible. It’s a completely new direction for us, but we couldn’t be happier with how it has turned out."
The new venue is named in honour of the three Kelly brothers' sister, Laura, whose unwavering support has been instrumental in their business ventures.
Laura’s restaurant and new menu intends to present an elevated yet relaxed dining atmosphere with a rooftop setting.
The design of the restaurant leans into warm, earthy tones with deep wood panelling, soft ambient lighting, and elegant mid-century modern furnishings. Taking inspiration from classic European brasseries, Laura’s aims to be a blend of classic charm and contemporary sophistication.
“Old Fashioned Sam’s is about creating a stylish but welcoming space where people can enjoy great food, cocktails, and atmosphere under one roof," said Liam Kelly.
"We’re beyond excited to finally introduce Laura’s to Dublin—it’s the final piece of the puzzle for us.”
