Irish retail and food business Avoca is to open its 12th store next March, resulting in the creation of 100 new jobs in Dunboyne, Co Meath.
The new outlet, which will have a space of 4,645 square metres, will operate in what was previously the Plantagen Garden Centre, reports The Irish Times.
It will consist of Avoca's usual cafe, grill, fashion, household goods and takeaway food offerings as well as additional services such as a butcher's shop, rotisserie, wine shop and health food.
This latest outlet opening is the first since Avoca was sold to US foodservice giant Aramark in a deal said to be in excess of €60 million.
The company, which was started by Donald Pratt in the 1970s as a textiles outlet, currently employs 850 staff around Ireland and has plans to expand further in Cork, Limerick and Galway according to managing director Simon Pratt.
