The Johnstown Estate Opens New Garden Terrace Cocktail Bar

The Johnstown Estate in Enfield, Co Meath, has announced the opening of Parterre, a new cocktail bar.

Parterre specialises in botanically-inspired cocktails (from €15), guest favourites include the Parterre Bloody Mary,  the Spa Serenity, and the House Martini, featuring the signature rose and cucumber foundation and coastal botanicals of Hendricks Neptunia along with Lillet Blanc, sage oil and pickled cucumber.

'Year Round Venue'

“At The Johnstown Estate, we’re known for our stunning gardens, spanning 120 acres of magnificent parkland," said Ciaran Reidy, general manager, The Johnstown Estate.

"Parterre is an extension of this – it’s special as its design, including a living garden wall, lots of lush foliage and a retractable roof, brings the outside in, and makes it a year round venue.”

Sharing Charcuterie Board

To complement the high-end drinks offering, Parterre offers nibbles (from €4.50) like hickory smoked toasted almonds and marinated oriental mixed olives along with light bites (from €7) like Nori Tempura and a sharing charcuterie board.

A wide range of non-alcoholic cocktails (from €12) include options like the Cucumber Breeze, made with Seedlip 0.0%, cucumber marmalade, cucumber cordial, agave syrup and lime, topped with soda.

A carefully-curated edit of white and red wines, prosecco and Champagnes as well as an extensive range of quality whiskeys, other spirits and liqueurs, will also be on offer.

'Elegant Option'

“We developed Parterre to offer guests an elegant option for a pre or post dinner cocktail after dining at either of our two restaurants, The Coach House or Fire & Salt, or as a decadent ending to a day of pampering at The Spa," said Reidy.

"We see it as another jewel in The Johnstown Estate’s crown.”
