The Stables bar and restaurant of Groomsport, Co. Down, has ceased trading.
Website Statement
A statement on the venue's website says, "Of late, we have been conducting our business at the premises as a limited company. It is with deep regret and with very heavy hearts that we must advise that the director of the said limited company has given us directions to cease trading at The Stables. In view of the rental payments required, the increasing costs of running the business and a number of ongoing issues with the landlord, the director of the company believes he has no option, believing it is simply no longer feasible to continue trading at a loss.
"We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank our amazing and loyal staff and all of our amazing customers for the excellent service and custom over the years.
"We are sincerely sorry that matters have come to an end like this, but we are delighted to be in a position to continue to offer good food and good service to the people of Groomsport and beyond at The Groomsport Inn and at Grace Neills in Donaghadee.
"We would like to emphasise that all vouchers and deposits will be fully reimbursed or alternatively can be used at The Groomsport Inn or Grace Neills in Donaghadee."
