The Horse & Hound pub in Delgany, Co Wicklow, has been put on the market by Cushman & Wakefield estate agents with a guide price of €1.2 million.
The premises, which extends to 750 square metres, was established in 1790 and sits at the foot of the Wicklow Mountains, close to extensive countryside and parkland. It is located one kilometre from the N11/M50 motorway system and has a massive catchment area that includes Greystones, which is only two kilometres away.
Described as having "real potential to further develop the venue", which will be helped by over 1,000 new homes that are in the pipeline and are a short commute away, it is also the only pub/venue in Delgany.
The pub, which last changed hands in 2011, had a year-long extensive refurbishment and remodelling programme that saw the premises modernised and upgraded. It has a walled courtyard with a fireplace; a bespoke extensively fitted commercial kitchen; underfloor heating and sound insulation; a function room with a bespoke bar that has a capacity for 70 seated guests; as well as five en-suite bedrooms on its first floor.
