Viztip, a company associated with developer Jerry Conlan, has reportedly invested approximately €3.5 million in publican Alan Clancy's hospitality group, NolaClan.
According to The Irish Times, the deal is expected to see Conlan and Clancy joining forces to further expand NolaClan in Dublin, where it already operates a number of well-known pubs, including 37 Dawson Street, Xico, The Oak and 9 Below.
A spokesperson for Viztip stated that the deal was for a minority share "in excess of 25%" and Conlan has joined the NolaClan board as part of the agreement.
Conlan has acquired an assortment of properties in Dublin city centre over the last year and it is understood that Clancy may open new pubs in some of the buildings purchased by Canlan, such as at an office block opposite the former Central Bank at 37 Dame Street.
