Sixteen Dublin Pubs Sold In First Nine Months Of 2017

Commercial property consultants CBRE Ireland have released statistics on the volume and value of pub sales in the Dublin market during the first nine months of 2017, showing that a total of 16 pub properties, totalling more than €17.8 million between them, sold in the Irish capital in the first three quarters of the year.

Some notable Dublin pub properties that sold in the first nine months include Boland’s of Stillorgan, JJ’s Smyth’s on Aungier Street, Arc Café Bar in Liffey Valley, Sandyford House in Sandyford, MacTurcaill’s of Townsend Street and Nash’s in Dublin 8.

According to John Ryan from the hotel & licensed department at CBRE Ireland: "The number of Dublin pub properties changing hands in the first nine months of 2017 is down compared to the volume traded in the last three year period. To some extent, an improvement in trading conditions in Dublin is reducing the number of licensed properties that are being offered to the market for sale. In addition to the more than €17.8 million traded so far this year, four Dublin pubs are currently sale agreed and expected to close shortly. The average sale price achieved in the first nine months of the year was €1.18 million”.
