Most areas of the country were represented in the winner’s enclosure at yesterday's 10th annual National Hospitality Conference and Awards.
The event, in association with Hospitality Ireland magazine, took place at InterContinental Hotel Dublin, where some of the most prominent names in hospitality spoke to a packed audience at the conference, including Dalata CEO Pat McCann and Alexander Goransson, lead analyst at Euromonitor.
At the Awards ceremony, The Dean picked up the Best New Establishment accolade, seeing off competition from newly crowned Michelin Star restaurant Loam in Galway and Ashford Castle in Mayo.
Doheny & Nesbitt was named best overall pub, winning the award ahead of fellow Dublin establishments Searsons of Baggot Street and L. Mulligan Grocer.
The best overall restaurant award stayed in the capital with Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud once again coming out on top this year, this time ahead of Galway duo Aniar and Loam.
Loam did pick up one of the major awards after it was named as Best Dining Experience, just pipping Blairscove Restaurant and Inis Meáin Restaurant & Suites.
Elsewhere, Lowry’s Bar Clifden was named Best Traditional Bar, ahead of Dublin’s Toners Pub and James Griffin Pub in Trim.
In the hotel categories, Castlewood House picked up the Best Value Hotel gong, The Westbury was best in class for city hotels, the Europe was named Best Resort Hotel, while Ashford Castle was named Best Overall Hotel in the country.
Hospitality Ireland would like to congratulate all the winners from the 2015 National Hospitality Awards.
