Property firm Knight Frank has said Johnny Ronan's proposed 17-storey tower in Dublin, which if given the green light will include a 110-bedroom hotel and be topped by a restaurant and bar, could serve as a "jewel in the crown" building for the city's south side.
Earlier this month plans emerged for the proposed "Tara House" development, located at Tara Street on the south side of The Liffey, which will rise to a height of 88m (nearly 290ft), making it the tallest building in Dublin. It's reported on fora.ie that plans for the project were lodged last week, 'and the council has received only a few submissions to date – none of which have objected to the tower'.
According to a submission to Dublin City Council, Frank Knight said the development would give the city a competitive advantage in the "international war for talent".
Knight Frank went on to add that the proposed 110-bedroom hotel would help ease Dublin's ongoing shortage of accommodation.
