Donald Trump’s Trump Organisation hired Eric Danziger as chief executive officer of the company’s hospitality-management wing, the Trump Hotel Collection, which includes the hotel and golf links in Doonbeg, Co. Clare.
Danziger will leave his post as president and CEO of Hampshire Hotels & Resorts , according to a statement from the Trump Organisation. He has worked in the hospitality industry for more than 40 years, starting as a bellman at the Fairmont in San Francisco, and held executive positions at companies including Wyndham Hotel Group.
“The Trump Hotel Collection has been an amazing success, and we are very pleased to welcome Eric to the company,” Trump said in the statement. “We have some of the greatest hotels in the finest locations in the world. Eric will play a vital role in our continued expansion and the incredible future of Trump Hotels.”
Trump Hotel Collection, started in 2007, focuses on luxury, full-service hotels. Among its 14 properties are the Trump International Hotel & Tower in New York, the Trump National Doral in Miami and the MacLeod House & Lodge in Aberdeen, Scotland. The hotel company is headed by Trump and three of his children: Ivanka, Eric and Donald Jr., according to the statement.
