TMR Hotel Collection Acquires The Fleet Hotel In Temple Bar

TMR Hotel Collection, one of Ireland’s largest hotel groups, has purchased The Fleet Hotel, Temple Bar, Dublin 2.

The 4-star hotel has been acquired by Lanthorn on behalf of TMR Hotel Collection for an undisclosed sum, the 16th Irish hotel within the group.

"This acquisition is part of our strategy to expand our presence within the Irish market and within Dublin city centre in particular," said Eimear Fox, director of Lanthorn."We are confident it will make a fantastic addition to the group. As with all hotels acquired by us, we will continue the significant investment that has been made to date."

The Fleet Hotel has 100 bedrooms and has been extensively refurbished by its owners over the last decade.

The building was formerly home to Bewley’s bakery and café which operated from the site for over one hundred years complete with Harry Clarke stained glass windows. It was once popular with writers such as James Joyce, poets and other artists.

The majority of the TMR Hotel Collection is managed by Windward Management.

"It is wonderful that the hotel starts its next exciting chapter with Lanthorn as part of the TMR collection who have a strong track record of continuous reinvestment, enhancing all the properties they acquire," said Patrick Coyle of The Fleet Hotel."It is particularly pleasing that Windward Management will continue to manage the property as part of this next phase of its development.”
