CBRE, acting on behalf of Centauro Holdings SARL, has confirmed the launch of the sale of the Morrison Hotel, in Dublin 1.

The five-star hotel is expected to achieve a price in the region of €90 million to €95 million.

“The Morrison is one of Dublin’s most consistently high-performing hotels and, following recent significant investment, represents an exceptional opportunity to acquire a long-established, highly profitable gem of a business, which has further upside potential,” said Dave Murray, senior director of CBRE Hotels Ireland.

The Morrison will be sold with 157 bedrooms and suites. The hotel currently features 145 guest rooms across its four floors, each infused with a unique musical heritage. The hotel’s design pays homage to legendary Irish musicians, with references to renowned artists like Hozier and Thin Lizzy throughout its rooms and public spaces.

The property is in the process of adding 12 new bedrooms through the conversion of the Printworks conference venue, on the ground floor, to provide eight bedrooms, with a further four bedrooms on the fourth floor.

The Morrison, branded as Curio Collection by Hilton, sits between the city’s predominant retail districts and Temple Bar. Located just steps from major tourist attractions, such as Trinity College and the Guinness Storehouse, the hotel is also within easy reach of Dublin’s primary sport and entertainment venues, like the 3Arena and Aviva Stadium.

The Morrison Hotel features three dining outlets, including the award-winning Morrison Grill, the Halo restaurant, and the Quay 14 cocktail bar.

Since opening in 1999, the property has extensively invested in capital improvements to enhance guest experiences, including the current construction of the aforementioned additional 12 bedrooms.

The hotel completed a repositioning to Curio in December 2023, followed by a formal regrading to five-star status, which delivered rate and occupancy growth in 2024. The hotel currently trades at over 90% occupancy.
