The Kingsley Hotel of Cork City has launched the latest addition to its employee well-being offering – a brand-new wellness area.
The Kave
Named the Kave by the Kingsley’s staff members, this area of the hotel is open to all of them before, during and after work hours. The space is dedicated to letting employees take a few minutes to relax away from work and socialise, with games like table tennis, pool and foosball. Employees can also take a moment to themselves in the dedicated meditation and sensory space.
Fergal Harte, general manager at the Kingsley, said, “We are delighted to launch the Kave. This is something we have wanted to do for years, and it has been a great success so far. Our employees’ well-being is a top priority for us here at the Kingsley, and we appreciate the support of our owners, who helped make this happen.”
Other Staff Facilities
As well as the Kave, employees currently have access to the hotel’s health club and the KWell programme, which offers regular seminar talks on all things wellness at work. The Kingsley has a workforce of over 28 nationalities and was certified as a ‘Great Place to Work’ by staff members in November 2022.
