The purchase of the Keadeen Hotel in Newbridge, County Kildare, was completed this week by the O’Callaghan Family Group, represented by Matthew O’Callaghan and Denis Williams.
The Keadeen Hotel will become part of the iNUA Hotel Collection and be managed by Cliste Hospitality, on behalf of the O’Callaghan family.
‘Premier Destination’
“Welcoming the Keadeen Hotel into Cliste Hospitality strengthens our commitment to developing Ireland’s hospitality industry and sustaining regional tourism,” said Sean O’Driscoll, director of hotels, Cliste Hospitality, and CEO of the iNUA Hotel Collection.
“We believe the Keadeen Hotel, with its exceptional team and loyal clientele, provide a solid foundation for continued success.
“Our focus will be on maintaining the Keadeen’s guest experience and further investing in its product, ensuring it continues to be a premier destination in Kildare.”
The Keadeen Hotel
The Keadeen Hotel, nestled in ten acres of landscaped grounds in Newbridge, is County Kildare’s longest-standing family-run hotel, having opened in 1970.
The 69-bedroom Keadeen Hotel is a well-known wedding destination, with award-winning gardens.
O’Callaghan Family
The Keadeen Hotel is the third collaboration between the O’Callaghan family and Cliste Hospitality, which already run two properties together in County Louth: the Fairways Hotel and the Gateway Hotel, both in Dundalk.
All existing management and employees of the Keadeen Hotel will continue to work with the new owners.
The new owners have also confirmed that all future bookings made with the hotel will be honoured, maintaining continuity across its weddings, conference, dining, and leisure stay business.
‘Increased Economic Activity’
“Our family’s experience with our hotels in Louth has shown us the value of investing in local hospitality,” said Matthew O’Callaghan, the new proprietor of the Keadeen Hotel.
“With the Keadeen Hotel now part of our portfolio, we expect that our efforts will translate into increased economic activity in Newbridge and surrounding areas.”
