The team behind the Europe Hotel & Resort, in Killarney, has announced that it will reopen for the 2025 season on Thursday 6 February, on Thursday through Saturday nights, inclusive, until Wednesday 12 March, when the hotel will then open seven days a week.
From February, the Europe Hotel & Resort opens additionally on Sunday 16 to Wednesday 19 February, inclusive. From Sunday 2 November, the Europe Hotel & Resort will be open on Thursday through Saturday nights, inclusive, and will close on Sunday 7 December for the 2025 season.
Last year, the hotel – comprising 180 bedrooms and suites – launched its collection of newly renovated rooms.
The Golfside Signature Suites offer natural views of the hotel gardens, and some with views of the greens and fairways of the adjacent Killarney Golf & Fishing Club.
Meanwhile, the Europe Hotel & Resort Premier Lakeview Rooms are the latest addition to the collection of guestrooms that enjoy unparalleled views of the lake. The rooms overlook the hotel gardens, Loch Léin and MacGillycuddy’s Reeks – Ireland’s highest mountain range. A spacious en-suite bathroom with separate bath and shower and ESPA amenities offers an ‘oasis of relaxation and indulgence’.
The Hans Liebherr Suite is named after Dr Hans Liebherr, the visionary German entrepreneur and engineer who founded the Liebherr Group and opened the Europe Hotel & Resort in 1961.
Liebherr first visited Killarney in the 1950s, establishing Liebherr Container Cranes in Fossa, and his deep affection for the area inspired his investment in Killarney’s hospitality industry. The Hans Liebherr Suite is the largest suite in the resort, with 2,500 square feet of space.
The resort’s Panorama Restaurant highlights Irish and international cuisine and boasts an impressive view, with vistas of the Lakes of Killarney, mountains and gardens.
