The College Green Hotel Dublin, Autograph Collection officially launched last week with a glitzy party attended by over 300 hundred invited guests and dignitaries who were greeted by stilt walkers in period costumes.
Guests spent the evening enjoying the hotels’ new look as they journeyed through Dublin’s storied eras, complete with specially chosen wines, sponsored by Findlater & Co, and locally sourced food.
Music and entertainment were provided at each turn of the century.
Moreland’s Grill
Moreland’s Grill was the first part of the tour, which was transformed into a culinary homage to Dublin’s Fair City with trad duo, The Liffey Crossing playing contemporary Irish tunes and executive chef Stephen Maguire and executive sous-Chef Mihai Costin, laying out a display of the best of Irish seafood including Dublin bay prawns and cockles & mussels and an elaborate ice sculpture showcasing the quality products on offer.
Guests were also treated at the Grill Station where cooked to-order steak beef sliders were served using locally sourced meat prepared on the in-house Josper Grill. Signature tasting plates from Moreland’s Grill’s current menu were also provided.
The Atrium Lounge
Guests were then invited to the Victorian era as they entered The Atrium Lounge and enjoyed the classic String Quartet, playing a contemporary Bridgerton set with an Afternoon Tea selection provided.
Each Autograph Collection property has their own signature called 'The Mark' and the hotel showcased its new exclusive bespoke tea offering, that hotel residents get to experience in the comfort of their bedrooms.
The tea is a blend of Darjeeling, elderflower, and lemon verbena. Guests also got to try the new signature tea inspired cocktail, The College Green along with plenty of sweet treats on offer.
The Mint Bar
The Mint Bar provided a very different atmosphere, paying homage to the business magnates, movers, and shakers of Dublin, those of old who had their finger on the pulse of the city.
Previously a bank vault, it was a place to store wealth and valuables. The Mint Bar aims to retain the 'discrete ambience' of its former purpose, and guests were encouraged to dabble in some casino games, indulge in some cocktails and were entertained by the jazz trio, Cary Posavitz & The Players.
Spring Break
The grand finale was held in the Banking Hall where MC, extraordinaire, Jennifer Zamparelli welcomed guests, introducing general manager, Joanne Dillon who said a few words to officially launch The College Green Hotel, Autograph Collection.
Invited guests partied into the late hours as Spring Break gave a lively performance, bringing everyone back to the 80s’ followed by a current DJ set.
