Condé Nast Traveler, a luxury travel and lifestyle magazine, has listed the Cliff House Hotel in its 10 most beautiful clifftop hotels in the world.
The five-star hotel in Ardmore, Co. Waterford, has 39 rooms, a spa and a Michelin star restaurant.
"The aptly-named Cliff House is one of Ireland’s most beautiful and scenic hotels. The ultramodern building’s angular slate-and-glass design is a dramatic contrast to its craggy, untamed surroundings. Each of its 39 cozy, sun-drenched rooms come with stunning bay views” says Krisanne Fordham, writer for the magazine, as reported by the Irish Independent.
Other entries on the list include California's Post Ranch Inn, the Bulgari Resort in Bali and Jade Mountain Resort in St. Lucia.
Adriaan Bartels, the General Manager at the Cliff House, said: "We are of course thrilled to be recognised by such a prestigious travel magazine, especially as we are in such venerated company with the amazing properties also listed".
Hospitality Ireland recently spoke to Bartels as part of its regional feature on the south-east of the the country. Check it out here.
