STR Data Indicates Hotel Occupancy In Europe Decreased 66.4% Year-On-Year In July

According to hotel industry market data company STR, hotel occupancy in Europe decreased 66.4% year-on-year to 26.5% in July.

Average Daily Rate And RevPAR

Meanwhile, the average daily rate (ADR) in the region decreased by 20.9% year-on-year to €96.43, and revenue per available room (RevPAR) decreased by 73.4% to €25.51.

Lowest Levels Ever Recorded For July

STR noted that while absolute occupancy, ADR and RevPAR levels in Europe were up in July from the levels recorded for June, they were the lowest ever recorded for July.

Ireland

STR's hotel occupancy data for Europe for July came as the Irish Hotels Federation (IHF) reported that the average hotel occupancy level in Ireland decreased by 48% year-on-year in July from 90% to 42%.
