With the final phase of the refurbishment of its bedrooms and façade now complete, Dublin’s Shelbourne Hotel is intending to invest in revamping some of its larger spaces, such as the Lord Mayor’s lounge, ballroom and meeting rooms.
Commenting on the venue’s most recent upgrades, which included the restoration of its two-century-old exterior and a refit of the guest suites overlooking St. Stephen’s Green, Shelbourne sales and marketing director Yvonne Donohue told The Irish Times that the revamp work combined with the newly announced future investment plans demonstrates how committed new owners Kennedy Wilson are to the hotel.
Donohue went on to state that advance demand from the American market is “very strong” when it comes to the outlook for 2018 and that the hotel also expects there to be growth from the domestic market in the year ahead.
