New statistics from travel research firm STR reveal that Dublin hotels achieved the highest average day rates ever recorded during the second quarter of 2018.
As reported by The Irish Times, STR's data indicates that the average daily room rate of Dublin hotels rose 9.5% on Q2 2017 to €155.75, representing a significant outpace of the European average rate of €115.54.
Meanwhile, Dublin's occupancy rate grew 0.2% to 89.6% during the period, with revenue per available room rising 9.7% to €139.51. This latter figure is once again significantly higher than the European average of €87.20.
