Revenues rose 17% at Co. Mayo's five-star Ashford Castle Hotel last year while turnover rose from €17.9 million to €20.9 million.
As reported by The Irish Times, newly filed accounts for Ashford Castle reveal that the hotel recorded losses before taxation of €3.3 million last year, representing a slight drop on the figure of €3.5 million for the previous year.
EBITDA And Staff Costs
Meanwhile, earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased by €570,494 to €4.04 million, with the number of people employed by the hotel totaling 366 and staff costs increasing from €6.8 million to €7.5 million.
