Recently filed accounts have revealed that revenues increased over 9% to €22.9 million at Co. Mayo's five-star Ashford Castle Hotel last year.
Meanwhile, the hotel's earnings rose by €970,000 to €5 million.
Despite the increase in revenues and earnings, the company ended up being unprofitable last year, but its loss before tax dropped to €2.14 million from €3.32 million the previous year, as reported by The Irish Times.
Staff Numbers And Costs
Additionally, the number of people employed by the hotel increased from 266 to 274 last year and staff costs increased 5% to a little over €7 million.
