New accounts filed by the firm that operates Cork's Rochestown Park Hotel, Windsor Surprise, have revealed that the company's pre-tax profits rose 19.5% to €1.2 million last year, while revenues rose 1.2% to €11.48 million.
As reported by The Irish Independent, the company's directors' report stated that they "are pleased with the trading performance for the year and intend to capitalise on positive sales growth to contribute to sustained profitability in the future".
Addressing potential future developments at the firm, the directors stated that "the company will continue to consolidate its market share given the economic recovery facing the hotel sector".
Meanwhile, the firm's operating profits amounted to €1.85 million last year, with interest payments of €631,238 resulting in pre-tax profits of €1.2 million.
The firm's gross profit came to €9.25 million, with its accumulated profits amounting to €2.19 million and the company's cash pile increased from €565,220 to €695,177.
