The company that runs the five-star Lough Eske Castle hotel in Co Donegal has reported pre-tax profits of €294,552 for 2014, representing a 60 per cent fall on the previous year.
The high end hotel is owned by Harcourt Developments property group, which is led by Donegal man Pat Doherty.
The Irish Independent reports that accounts filed by Lough Eske Developments Ltd with the Companies Office reveal that "the hotel recorded the drop in profit in spite of revenues rising from €6.75m to €7.5m in the 12 months to the end of December 2014".
The directors' report stated that 2014 was another positive year for the hotel, with turnover increased by 11 per cent and the hotel has remained profitable.
