Portlaoise Heritage Hotel is being offered for sale with a guide price of €1.5 million.
Savills Hotels and Leisure are handling the sale of the four-star hotel in the centre of Portlaoise, according to a report in the Irish Independent. The hotel has 110 bedrooms and extensive food and entertainment facilities, including three restaurants, three bars and a nightclub. It also has impressive conference and banqueting facilities.
In addition, the hotel hosts a popular leisure centre, complete with a swimming pool and gym.
Dalata has managed the hotel since 2009 and although there is the possibility that it will continue to manage it after the sale, the hotel is also available without this management agreement.
Savills said that, "There is definite potential witht he number of bars contained in the property not only to further cater for the twon and surrounding area but to complement the numerous conference and banqueting events held at the hotel."
